One day, seven courses route time
Let’s go for a ride.
Indoor cycling in your browser. Real roads, live weather, and a pelican if you want one.
Pick a route!
Routes inspired by real-world GPX files we found around the internet, and adapted for our world, down to the tree. Seriously, we have 12 different tree species in Fikaride. Want to add a route? Send a GPX to routes@fikaride.com and we’ll see what we can do.

Intervals.icu
Ride against other people, bots, or yourself.
Okay, so there aren’t many people here yet. But don’t let that make you feel lonely: you can choose how many bots ride in the world with you, race against your previous ghosts, or send the link to friends. (We especially like the last one.)
Customize your rider.
Pick a jersey, a helmet, glasses, shoes and wheels. Add Viking horns, a propeller or a gold bike. Or skip the human entirely and ride as a pelican. Your height and weight go into the physics. The rest is pure style.
Questions.
Why did you make this?
I got tired of paying Zwift $20 a month, and the app keeps getting more cluttered and weird. I wanted something that just lets me ride.
How is this free?
I hope I can keep it free for a while. Fikaride runs on a pretty cool setup: your computer draws the whole world, and the few parts that need a server run on Cloudflare, close to wherever you ride. Each extra rider costs me very little, so it should scale pretty well. If server costs grow anyway, I might have to start charging to cover them. It will be cheap, though, and it will never be as expensive as Zwift.
What devices are supported?
I only have a Wahoo KICKR Core, so that is the one I have tested. It should work with other Bluetooth smart trainers in desktop Chrome. If you can help me test yours, get in touch: devices@ridefika.com.
What do I need to run it?
A laptop or desktop, Chrome or Edge, a smart trainer and a pair of legs. Safari and Firefox can’t talk to trainers yet, so they have to sit this one out. The game draws a whole 3D world in your browser, so newer machines have an easier time. But give yours a spin! It runs smooth on the Macs I have here, and I’m working on making it faster everywhere else. If it struggles on your computer, tell me what you ride with and I’ll see what I can do. The first load is a big one, so maybe not on hotel wifi.
Who are you?
I’m Charles. I used to ride a lot, back when I was super into Ironmans, and I’m trying to get back into it. These days I spend my time coding instead of riding. It’s not a huge loss: my peak FTP was around 3 W/kg. Still proud of that, though. I have also taken a few green jerseys on Zwift, during off-peak hours when nobody was around.
I have a feature or route request.
Yes, thank you! I am super interested to hear it. Email me at charles@ridefika.com.
What’s the secret other URL?
www.fika.icu also comes here. Does anyone like that one better?
